Dr. Christine Fahim

The Improving Wisely Project: Use of KT Strategies to mitigate healthcare overuse, underuse and misuse

Biography:

Dr. Christine (Tina) Fahim is a research scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, Knowledge Translation program.  Christine obtained her MSc in Health Systems at the University of Ottawa followed by a PhD in Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact from McMaster University.  She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the John Hopkins University School of Public Health, cross-appointed in the Department of Health Policy and Management and Department of Surgery.  She specializes in implementation science, particularly as related to physician behavior change.  Some of her research interests include optimizing decision-making, multidisciplinary teamworking, and the implementation of surgical quality and safety initiatives.
