Evidence to practice: Designing gender-sensitive health promotion approaches for men

Learning Objectives:

  1. Outline the approach used to develop and evaluate a novel intervention based on qualitative evidence using as an example the Dads in Gear program.
  2. Learn about approaches for engaging men in aiding the translation of evidence into messages and strategies that can be used to support their efforts for lifestyle change.
  3. Appreciate the value of integrating gender-related influences in designing health promotion programs.
