Dr. Amédé Gogovor

Integrating Sex and Gender Considerations in Knowledge Translation

 Biography:

Dr. Amédé Gogovor is currently a CIHR Patient-Oriented Research Leadership Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine, Université Laval, affiliated with the Knowledge Translation component of the Quebec SPOR Support Unit, the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Shared Decision Making and Knowledge Translation and VITAM Research Centre for Sustainable Health. He is leading the development of reporting standards for scaling up studies (SUCCEED), an international project that integrates the principles of patient-oriented research, the science of implementation and scaling, and the science of sex and gender. He co-leads the Université Laval’s Chapter of the CIHR Institute of Gender and Health Trainee Network. His previous work and current research interests include interdisciplinary management of chronic pain, healthcare surveys, patient experience, and impact of sex, gender and other intersectional factors on medication prescription and use.
