Guillermina Noël

The value of human-centred design when creating KT strategies

Biography:

Dr. Guillermina Noël applies a human-centred, evidence-based, and outcomes-oriented design approach to improve healthcare. She is the health knowledge designer, at the PLP office within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. In this role, Gui (Ghee) supports teams by helping them to understand the users’ needs, integrating their requirements with those of the KT team, and co-designing tools seeking to achieve impact at scale. In her spare time is also the Director of the Health Design Network.

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the Human centred design approach, it process and characteristics
  2. Compare a KT process and a Human centred design process, and
  3. Apply some Human centred design concepts to plan KT strategies.
