Development of a Shortened Systematic Review Format

Learning Objectives

  • To review the evidence on the impact of interventions for seeking, appraising, and applying evidence from systematic reviews in decision making by clinicians.
  • To learn the development process for initial prototypes of two shortened formats for a systematic review to be used by clinicians.
  • To describe a series of focus groups with primary care physicians conducted to refine the format of a shortened systematic review.
